This is something
I first wrote in the French language. It was the week of coming together for
different Christian congregations. I am catholic by heritage which means that I
follow into my parent’s belief. God bless their souls.
I pray for
my church and others without judgment. Although I recognize that the Catholic
Church has made errors throughout the ages, it is up to the lord to judge, for
he only knows the hearts.
What counts
is love, and how can we pretend to have love when we forget others or push them
away? Love has no restriction but too often we follow this material world which
is really limited.
Volunteering
our time and ourselves to help others is what God loves. We all feel good when
we do so; where the saying comes: There
is more pleasure in giving than in receiving. Yet we lose ourselves in the face
of temptation. I am as much a sinner as anyone, lacking self control and
judgment, but the Lord’s word brings warmth to my heart, strengthens my spirit
and shows me the way. James 4, 3 when you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on
your pleasures. I do not believe that we
must be without pleasure; on the contrary we must have a lot and be willing to
share it. We may remember how John the Baptist lived; he deprived himself of
everything preparing his followers for the coming of the lord. But the lord was
the opposite having a lot to share. Mathew 9, 10-13
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s
house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your
teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”12 On hearing this, Jesus said,
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn
what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call
the righteous, but sinners.” And Jesus changed water into wine. John 2, 11 What Jesus did
here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed
his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Jesus talk of himself as being the groom, we must understand that he is
the system which we must marry and that we must please. It is not a matter of
depriving ourselves but more one of remembering others.
The love of God is so tender that we must not be afraid of punishment
because the Lord is always near and disposed to help us; all we need to do is
to recognize him. Luc 15, 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing
in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons
who do not need to repent. Mathew
20, 16 “So the last will be
first, and the first will be last.” Whatever
pleases God is what should please us. So we must be merciful and rejoice with
one another proclaiming Gods word.
The bible mentions the flames of eternal hell where burns what is
useless, but I believe that our sovereign really wants our redemption and best
try, all is there for different characters of mankind. Some people need a
strong hand to show them the way; others need comfort, encouragement or
examples, some tenderness, but love and reconciliation is for everyone.
I heard a friend on the radio saying how good it is to receive the lord
in our life, we must open our heart to him and let him shine is light on us,
which is the enrichment of compassion and love. We must let him grow in us like
a grain of mustard. Mathew 13, 31-3231 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is
like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is
the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden
plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with everyone!
